Payment Processing (PP)
The Payment Processing certificate is associated with encrypting Apple Pay payment data. Its provisioning, custody and use must follow the requirements for the merchant’s specific Apple Pay flow.
Merchant Identity (MI)
Merchant Identity is a separate certificate topic used in merchant validation flows. It is not interchangeable with a Payment Processing certificate.
Domain association
Domain association is a separate web-domain verification requirement. Do not treat a certificate inventory entry or a successful HTTP response as proof that Apple accepted a merchant’s domain configuration.
